How much does a corsage or boutonniere cost?

Short answer: at the three local florists we checked, wrist corsages started at $28.99 to $58 and boutonnieres at $14.99 to $52 [Super Rose] [Eve's Baskets and More] [Sunrise Floral & Gifts]. The same FTD wristlet design was $33.99 at one shop and $58 at another [Super Rose] [Sunrise Floral & Gifts].
Prom, homecoming, and weddings all come with the same small purchase: a corsage for the wrist and a boutonniere for the lapel. Because they’re made by hand at local shops, prices vary more than you’d expect. We looked at three florists that all sell the same catalog of FTD-designed pieces, which makes for a rare apples-to-apples comparison.

Typical range (our estimate): from these three shops, a simple wrist corsage usually starts around $30 to $60 and a boutonniere around $15 to $60, before delivery and tax. Three shops is a small sample, so your town may be higher or lower. We didn’t find a national survey of corsage prices.
Why the same design costs different amounts
FTD publishes the design, but each local shop sets its own price, which likely reflects its own costs and local market. That’s why calling two or three shops near you is worth ten minutes, especially if you need several pieces for a wedding party.
How to save
- Pick up instead of delivery. A delivery fee on a $30 corsage can add a big share. Big online florists’ median fee is $19.99 [SendFlowers.io], and local shops set their own.
- Order a matching set together. Ask whether the shop discounts a corsage and boutonniere ordered as a pair.
- Order the week before. Prom weekends fill up, and last-minute orders limit your choices.
- Ask about simpler flowers. At both Super Rose and Sunrise, the cymbidium orchid boutonnieres were at or near the top of each shop’s boutonniere prices [Super Rose] [Sunrise Floral & Gifts].
