What a dozen red roses costs, delivered: our 2026 price check

The sticker price for a dozen red roses online ranged from $29.75 to $69.99 on the same day. Once delivery was added, the cheapest came to $49.74 and the priciest to about $89.98, before tax.

The data

These retailers did not show a delivery fee on the product or policy pages we could read, so we used each retailer’s median fee from the SendFlowers.io Flower Delivery Fee Report, as of Nov 3, 2026 [SendFlowers.io]. FTD and ProFlowers state “delivery charges start as low as $19.99” on the product page.

Benchmark: local florists

FinanceBuzz’s 2026 survey of at least three florists in every state put the U.S. average for a dozen long-stem red roses at $93.07, from $71.99 in Indiana to $126.65 in Hawaii [FinanceBuzz]. That figure doesn’t say whether delivery is included, and it was collected for Valentine’s Day, so it isn’t directly comparable to our November check.

Retailers we couldn’t include

• UrbanStems: No plain dozen-red-roses product. All 21 items in its red-roses collection were mixed or designer bouquets (the cheapest, The Rudolph, mixes roses with carnations and alstroemeria at $68). [UrbanStems]
• Farmgirl Flowers: Its site blocked our automated page check (HTTP 403), so we could not read a current price.
• Costco: Its product page for 50-stem red roses blocked our page check (HTTP 429), so we could not read a current price.

Methodology

• Date: all prices were read on Nov 3, 2026 (Mountain Time) from each retailer’s public product page, without signing in or applying coupons.
• Product: the lowest-priced standard dozen (12) red roses listing we found on each site, with nothing else added. Where a product had size or vase options, we used the cheapest one and list the vase price separately.
• Fee: the lowest standard delivery or service fee the retailer publishes. Where the retailer doesn’t publish it on a page we could read, we used the median for that retailer from the SendFlowers.io report and marked it with an asterisk.
• Excluded: sales tax, same-day or holiday surcharges, add-ons, membership discounts, and promo codes. Your checkout total will differ by ZIP code and date.
• Not a ranking of quality. A boxed bouquet in bud and a florist-arranged vase are different products. We show both because shoppers compare them.
